This project is made with the goal of redesigning the main website page of the Esports Team Twente organization. Various reasons have been mentioned why they want to redesign their main website, from limited in terms of functionalities until slow loading time. By redesigning the main website page by making it more dynamic, communicative, and faster, the marketing team hopes it will boost their organization's fame and make it more recognizable as the home of esports, especially at Twente. It will also make the website more flexible and operable by non-technical people, leading to reduced cost management in terms of time and finances.
The CS Design Project module is one of the two final modules of the Bachelor. In the design component of this module, students show that they master the entire design trajectory, from the first informal specification of requirements by a client to the delivery and presentation of a well-documented working product. Projects are submitted by clients from either inside or outside the University. Students perform the project in groups of 3-5 students under the supervision of a teacher from the Department of Computer Science. The supervisor is also the one who assesses the process and products of the group. Project deliverables include a project proposal, a design report, a presentation and a poster.
The final product is deployed online under the link* attached. Esports Team Twente will further fill in the content of the website through a Content Management System that has been connected directly with the frontend. Therefore, anyone in Esports Team Twente management team can contribute to the content, without having any technical background about programming. *Esports Team Twente may move the URL to their own paid hosting server. The link is used at the time this project showcase is uploaded.
